Het gaat als het ware om mentale flexibiliteit. De veerkracht is dat je na slecht nieuws of zware tijden weer terugveert naar een goede mentale en emotionele staat. Je wil tegenslagen niet alleen kunnen vermijden, maar in het geval van een tegenslag wil je hiermee om kunnen gaan. De tegenslag overwinnen! Zelfbewustzijn: Het begint met het begrijpen van je eigen emoties en reacties. Door op jezelf te reflecteren kan je goed bedenken waarom je iets zegt of doet, zo kun je in de toekomst betere beslissingen maken.

Flexibiliteit: Ben bereid om aan te passen aan veranderende situaties. Buig mee met de loop van het leven en houd niet te veel vast aan routines en idealen.

Zelfzorg: Zorg goed voor je lichaam en geest. Voldoende slaap, gezonde voeding en regelmatige lichaamsbeweging dragen bij aan je algehele veerkracht.

Probleemoplossend vermogen: Leer vaardigheden om effectief om te gaan met problemen. Denk probleemoplossend. Wat is het probleem? Is het wel echt een probleem? Ja? Hoe komen we er dan vanaf?

Mindfulness en Meditatie: Meditatie is niet voor iedereen weggelegd maar je kan het zeker een kans geven. Het helpt met rust houden en rationeel denken.
